ARTICLE – VILLAGE LIFE

Introduction.
Village life is generally simple, peaceful and calm. The majority population around the world is living in rural areas. The peoples of the village live in harmony and joint family systems so they love each other. They are very cooperative, helpful and sympathetic. They give respect to the elders especially grandparents and love with younger’s without any personalization. They do not have the concept of the holiday without any serious problems. Due to their hardworking, they remain healthy and physically fit. They enjoy the beauty of the natural greenery of trees, grassy fields, green mountains, rivers and streams. Early morning, all birds sing the love songs and praise God with their tongue that God is great and He is merciful. He is That, Who has created them, with his nature. Butterflies fly around the bushy flowers, this scene also seems very beautiful and charming. Villagers use the mud bricks and construct their houses however their women plaster the living houses with special coloured clay as safety measures from the loss of heavy rainfall. After the plaster, the houses also look clean and beautiful. Before the sunset when cattle are coming back so their necks bells are ringing and give a peaceful message to the atmosphere. Village life is hard but the villagers face the hardships cheerfully and enjoy their life. Afternoon youngsters play local games like Kabbadi and Wrestling. Now, some boys play Football, Volleyball and Cricket also. Old men sit near them for enjoyment and guide them.
Routine Work.
All people of the village get up early in the morning. Some go to Mosques, Churches, Temples or other places for worship. Most women worship at home and recite the holy book of their respective religions. After this, women prepare breakfast for family members in happy mode and realize proud to do so. Young girls also wake up one hour before sunrise and wash their hands and mouth with a bar of simple soap. And then they start to extricate the cattle’s milk with their hands. During the extricating of milk, the girls feel enjoyment and slowly, slowly sing to the sons. After extricating the milk of buffalos, cows, goats, sheep or any other animal, they scroll their hand with love at the cattle’s heads. The young girls keep the milk pots at their heads and return to their homes with a graceful walk. The senior woman of the house serves breakfast to all family members. Yoghurt and fresh butter are also served at breakfast. After taking the breakfast, males left the home for working in the fields and women start their routine homework. Some women help in fieldwork. Farmers work in their agricultural lands till the sunset but some come back home along with cattle approximately half an hour before the sunset.
Profession.
Villagers occupy the profession according to the village location, weather condition of the area and customs of the community. For example, if a village is located near the river or sea so in this village fisherman will be. However, following professionals are must hold in the life of all villages.
- Farmer. The primary occupation of villagers is agriculture. Due to the advancement in modern technology now, this profession is easy than in the past. Agriculture Sector is a backbone for economic development in some countries.
- Barber. The barber does not have a proper shop. He goes home to home and to the fields for providing his service of haircutting and shaving. He keeps his occupational tools in a leather bag and the bag remains all time with him. Barber has an important role in the life of the village. During happy and sorrowful occasions especially in marriages, he performs a lot of special responsibilities in good manners. Therefore all persons in village life respect the man who belongs to the Barber profession.
- Blacksmith. The blacksmith makes and repairs the pieces of equipment and tools of the farmers. He also does the work of a carpenter and mason. He has a grinding machine, which is run by oxen, camel or male buffalo (Bull). Villagers use this machine for grinding wheat, barley wheat, grain, sorghum, pearl millet and rice. Blacksmith profession has also good importance in the life of the village.
Celebration of Festivals.
Despite the hard life in the village, the people of the village celebrate their events with full enthusiasm. They save some money according to their source of income for celebrating festivals like annual religious days and fairs. Such events are held out of a population in open field areas. During the festival, a lot of people do the local and folk dance by petting self-made drums. Some persons enjoy singing the song and some tell the history of their community’s heroes in the shape of poetry. In the fairs, day and night open theatre and moves are also available for entertainment. Small shops of coloured glass bangles, wooden toys, female clothes and artificial jewellery are also held there. People do the purchasing from these shops for offering the gift to their women and children. In the village life sweets (Jalleby and Ladoo) are like very much, they consider the incomplete celebration of all traditional and religious festivals without sweets.


Life Enjoyment and Refreshment.
The villagers arrange the following events for their refreshments and life enjoyment:-
- Horse Dance. They are special type horses who do the dance. These are very much costly and their owners love them like their children. Only a financially sound person can purchase them. They do not use them for any other purpose except dance. In village life, horse dance is the main source of entertainment, refreshment and enjoyment. This event is organized on traditional and special occasions of happiness.
- Cattle Exhibition Fair. Such fairs are mostly arranged during March and April because the people of a village do not have so much engagement in agriculture work in these two months. Cattles are well decorated with different coloured pieces of cloth. A team of judges are appointed by the organizers of the exhibition-fair who announce the winner cattle. The owners of the winner cattle, dance, distribute sweets and some arrange a dinner party at their homes for celebrating the victory. All people of the village offer their best wishes and congratulations to the winners.
- Camel Dance. Camel dance event has also great importance in the life of the village for entertainment and enjoying especially in the desert areas. All walks of life people come from far-flung areas to see this event. Profession trainers are hired to train the camels to do the dancing. During the camel dance, local music is also being used frequently. In this way, all people enjoy their village life.
