Centre Importance

                         Centre Importance

Centre Importance

Introduction.

All things of this universe have their centre. It is the point from where we can check the balance of things. This point has great importance. Even in games, we cannot forget the importance of centre-half, centre- back and centre-forward players. In cricket, centre players are called middle order. The centre gives directions to do a good job and to fix the problems if any occurred. It has great importance in our routine life. But it depends on us, how and which we have chosen the centre for routine life. And how do we take directions from it? Here I would like to share a short story. In this story, a mother how motivates her teenage son about the importance of the centre.

Use and Manufacturing of Machine.

Only one hundred years ago, the majority of people used stone-made grain grinder machines for preparing domestic flour. These machines still exist in the villages of India and Pakistan but now the use of the machines is very less. Manufacturing machines is very simple. It consists of two round stone discs. The first disc is installed on a wooden plate or clean ground. An iron or a hard wooden rod is fixed into the centre of this disc. 2nd disc has a hole for the fitting on the first disc. A handle is also required to be fixed on the edge of the 2nd disc. Grains are poured into the centre hole of 2nd disc and the disc has to be run with the handle in the circle of left to right for grinding the grains.

A Mother, How Motivated her Son.

One day, a woman with the help of her teenage boy opened the hand grinding machine for cleaning and maintenance. Her son observed some wheat grains lying safe in their original shape near the rod which was fixed in the centre of 2nd disc. The boy started thinking, about why these grains have not been crushed by the machine. But he could not find the cause. Therefore he asked her mother about the cause of the grains’ safety. Her mother told him that these grains had not been gone long away from the centre of the disc and therefore did not crushed by the discs of the grinding machine. She advised him, to choose his centre and keep attachment to it for his safety. If you will not keep good communication with your centre so surely you will be imbalanced. And on your becoming imbalanced, others people will grind you. Always keep a good liaison with your centre so that you could get advice and guidance to overcome problems and difficulties.

As a human being, which is our Centre?

According to my thought, as human beings, up to the age of maturity, our parents, close relatives and teachers are our centres for seeking guidance. After that, the place where we live or serve should follow the rules regulation and instructions of that area, institutions and the regime’s centre.

In all conditions, our supreme centre should be Allah/God. Because Allah/God has created us and He has created all universal for our use. He has given us very clear and comprehensive rules and regulations for leading a real successful life in this universal.

Consequences.

If we want to lead a safe, easy and prosperous life so we would have to be remained equipped with our centre in all respect.

A Wound

A WOUND

A Wound

Hundreds of years ago, a woodcutter lived in a village near the forest with his family. He was a good man. His name was Abdullah. Woodcutting and selling it in the market was his source of income. Abdullah daily got up early in the morning. After taking breakfast, he left his home for the forest for woodcutting. One day, he was sitting under a shady and taking some rest. Meanwhile, a thirsty and hungry lion cub came here. He saw at some distance that his mother was lying dead near a cave. He took pity on him and provided him with some food and water. After eating the food and drinking the water, the lion cub started licking his hands and feet with love. The next day, as per the routine, the wood was sitting and taking his lunch under a shady tree. The lion cub appeared from the cave and started loving him. He again offered him some food and water. On the third day, the woodcutter brought with him some fresh milk and meat. After eating the meat and drinking milk, the lion cub was very happy. The woodcutter daily provided him with some food. One day, a big piece of the back leg of a cow was found, which was killed by someone lion or other meat eater animals. Abdullah cut it into ten small pieces with his axe. Every day he gave one piece to the lion baby. The lion cub was growing up gradually. At seven months old, he started doing some hunting activities, but he was not yet able to hunt. On the other hand, his food need was increasing day by day. Abdullah was worried that how he would arrange so much food for him.

There was a lake near the cave of the lion cub. One day, the woodcutter saw that the lion cub was trying to hut the birds from the edge of the lake, but he failed to do so. However, he succeeded to find out a dead duck. It was enough for him. He caught it in his jaw and took it into the cave. After some time, he came out of the cave and started licking his mouth with his tongue. His belly seemed full.

Near the lake, there was also a small pond. The water in the pond was less and very clear. A lot of fish were in this pond. The age of the lion cube was more than two years. He started hunting fish from the pond. Abdullah was pleased about the young lion's this success. Now his growth had also enhanced than before.

At last, the lion cub had become a full young lion, and his age was more than three years. He acted upon orders of the woodcutter. The lion remained near him in the forest throughout the whole day. One day at about 1200 hours, suddenly, some forest dogs attacked the woodcutter. He called the lion for help. He rushed to him.  The woodcutter used his improvised arms for protection. On the other side, the young lion attacked with full power at the dogs. They could not face his attack and ran away into the forest. They both were happy over the victory.

The friendship between them had become very strong. In the time of evening, when the woodcutter came back to his village, the young lion also came along with him to his see-off. On reaching near the village, the woodcutter scrolled his hand with love on the head of the young lion and asked him to go back. He obeyed his order and returned to the forest.

One day, early morning, he did not come to welcome his friend Abdullah. He searched him here and there but could not find him. He was worried about his friend. Before returning home, he climbed into a big tree and started calling to him. But he again also failed to find out about him. At last, he came down from the tree and started preparing to return home with an unhappy feeling. When he took the first step toward the village, he heard a lion roar from a long way. He braked his next step and started waiting. After a few minutes, he was in front of Abdullah with a female lion. The lion saw the female lion and started to love his friend Abdullah.

One day, the woodcutter invited the lion to dinner. Both friends reached home. The woodcutter asked his wife to help him in the preparation of dinner. She refused to help him and started shouting at him that “you are an idle man because you have a friendship with animals”. The lion heard all patiently and did not show embarrassment. He dined in a happy mood. After dinner, he thanked his friend and came back into the forest.

The next day, when Abdullah reached into the forest, the lion asked him to hit his head with an axe. But he refused. The lion insisted on doing so and threatened him that if he did not hit him, he would finish his friendship with him. At last, the woodcutter hit his head with an axe. On hitting, bleeding started from the head of the lion. The lion ran away into the forest.

After a few days, the lion asked his friend to check my head wound. He checked and told him that his head injury has healed. The lion said that the wound had been given by your wife at my heart not yet healed. And you cannot see it and cannot also imagine the pain of this wound.

This story gives us the following morals.

  • Control your tongue. It is a very sharp sword. Its unnecessary use is an irreparable loss for yourself and others. So use it very carefully.
  • Do not mistreat the animals, do love them.
  • Give respect to the friends of your life partner if you love your life partner.
  • Guests are a blessing of Allah, do not consider them a burden.
  • Your attitude toward others shows your character.
  • All types of pain can go off with medicine and with time, but the pain of insult has no medicine. So do not insult others.

ROUTINE LIFE

ROUTINE LIFE

Routine Life

Introduction.

Routine life means all that we do daily. These actions depend on our feeling, thinking, habits, and the inspiration we take from other people. All live humans, dry and water animals and birds lead their routine life as per their natural sense. But some internal and external conditions make changes in their life. Good and bad come into our life. Sometimes we gain all that we want. In this way, sometimes we cannot get what we want. Even we lose what already held with us. If we comparison of present and past human life. The present life is best than the past. A human of the present age is availing uncounted facilities of advanced technology in the fields of transportation, communication, accommodation and health. While in the old era, these facilities did not exist. There is no doubt that due to improper use of advanced technology some disadvantages like pollution and noises of machinery are being disturbed to the lifestyle of humans, animals and birds. There are two main factors which affect our routine life:-

Natural and Unnatural Factors.

Natural and unnatural factors change our routine life. While some factors have a good impact and some have a bad impact on our routine life.  Some natural factors are as under:-

Earthquake.

Despite having modern technology in this era, scientists could not invent trustworthy earthquake detecting sensors before the earthquake. However, scientists have gained some success with the Quick Alarm Tool. Properties and life losses due to severe earthquakes derail our routine life. After such situations occur, sufficient time is required to stand the people on their feet. These losses, especially losses of lives, create a sorrowful environment. The affected people lose their thinking and working power for some period due to the shock. Therefore they cannot work hard for some period.

Floods.

Despite taking safety measures against floods, huge losses occur. The majority of the flood-affected people become displaced from their homes. Flood-contaminated water spreads different diseases. The agricultural sector goes into loss due to the destruction of crops. Sometimes the fast flow of flood water carries the agricultural land near the bank of rivers and streams. Floods fill the fish ponds with clay and garbage. Fishes disperse out from the ponds. Hatchery systems of fish become destroyed in flood areas.

Sea Storms and Cyclones.

Advance information about sea storms and cyclones is provided to people accordingly to take safety measures. Therefore lives and financial losses from sea storms and cyclones have decreased.  But still, Indian Sea Cyclones are leaving huge losses. These losses change the normal life of all affected people.

Rainfall.

Rainfall is a natural factor. It has a good impact on our routine life. However, rain falling more than needed is not good. Much rainfall becomes the cause of the flood and non-rainfall becomes a cause of hot weather and shortage of water. Flood, hot weather and shortage of water affect all crops, vegetables, and all types of trees. Hot weather affects the working style of all walks of people. Resultantly, production becomes decreases. Such situations change the routine life of humans, animals and birds.

Pandemics Diseases.

From the creation of this universe to date, from time to time, pandemic diseases are spreading. At present, the whole world is facing pandemics COVID-19. The current COVID-19 pandemic has changed our routine life. On a large scale, people have been dead and also still dying. Industries and trade centres, sometimes partially and sometimes wholly closed due to this pandemic disease. Social distances have increased. The economy of all countries and states has been affected. While financially weak countries have been affected more.  However, now the disease has come down from its peak. And people are coming back to their routine life.

Natural Resources.

Natural resources like water, oil, gasses, gold, silver and all other costly metals are an integral part of our life. All natural resources are to be very important for our routine life. Some countries and states have enough natural resources more than their requirements. They are earning good money by selling the extra resources to these countries that do not have the resources. People of these countries are financially sound and leading their life with all materialized facilities.

Unnatural Factors.

Many unnatural factors change routine life.  Here two are being mentioned.

Opportunities.

Good opportunities play a role in improving routine life. For example, if an intelligent young man wants to get higher education. He is also financially sound. He lives in a well-educated environment; good teachers and educational institutions are available to him in the field where he wants to get higher education. Assuredly this young man will achieve his target, and his routine life will automatically be changed. Suppose a young man wants to be a good cricketer. He is living in an area where cricket does not play. He also does not have the resources to go out. It means he has no opportunity to become a good cricketer. In these situations, it is difficult for him to prove himself as a good cricketer.

Human Behaviours and Attitudes.

Our decisions and physical actions show our behaviours and attitudes. And our behaviours make easy or difficult to our life.  The spreading of pollution is a big challenge to the universe in the present era. Pollution is damaging the purity of all-natural and human creations. Polluted air, water and food are dangerous to the health of all types of living species and other materialized items. Due to health problems, our routine life is adversely affected. At the international level, a lot of efforts are doing to control pollution. But at all individual levels also, we would have to be shown positive attitudes against the challenge.

Conclusions.

Undoubtedly, coming up and down is an integral part of our routine life. However, it depends on us, what we feel, and how we perform in the happening of an untoward incident. In such a condition, do not be disappointed, hope for good and believe in your work hard. On the other hand, on achieving the target, do not show yourself overconfident and very proud. Much pride and overconfidence eat the wisdom.

Best Teacher

Best Teacher

Best Teacher

Introduction.

Teaching is a holy profession. After the parents, teachers play a big role in creating good habits in the children. Students try to follow the guidance and motivation of their teachers throughout their life.  As per my thought, Allah has given great strength to the teachers. Because teachers do not teach only basic knowledge of the subjects, they also teach the way of life. The teacher can play an important role in improving his society.

I have read and learned from a lot of teachers. My all teacher are respectable to me but Mr. Barkat Ali is my best teacher. I like him very much. Naturally, some people have extraordinary qualities and good habits, which make them more unique men than others. And Mr. Barkat Ali was one of them. He was headmaster in Government Primary School Kotla Sanat Singh Wala Chak No. 43/R.B, Tehsil Sangla Hill, District Nankana Sahib. He always did deal with all students equally. He had vast experience in teaching the children from nursery to fifth class. Now that he has died, I pray to Allah Almighty to rest his soul in paradise. He had the following extraordinary qualities:-

Body Structure and Dress.

My best teacher, Mr, Barkat Ali had middle height, a smart body, black eyes, whitish color, and a sharp nose. His chest was broad and plain. He had a white beard on his face. He always wore a white national dress (Shalwar Qameez), a black Jinnah Cap, black pair of shoes, and black socks. And during winter seasons, he wore a coat or hand-knitting wool jersey over his white suit (shalwar Qameez). He was a well-dressed man in the village.

A Good Administrative.

To keep the clean school area and environment, he used the available resources in good manners. He regularly visited the classes to check the uniform, hair, and nails of the students. When I was reading in this school, at that time, elect facility was not held in this area. During the summer, he had instructed the class teachers and class monitors to keep open doors, windows, and ventilators of the classrooms for ventilation. A lot of big shady trees were in our school area. On a severely hot day, he had issued an order to the teachers to take the classes under shady trees. As per the order of Headmaster Mr, Barkat Ali, five big pitchers were kept under the shady trees to provide water to the school children. And during the winter, branches of the trees were cut down, and classes were arranged in an open area of the school to take heat from the sun. He had a liaison with the local administration to ensure vaccinations for the children. He always proved himself a good administrator. The parents of the children were happy with his performance.

Command and Control.

He had good command and control over his all juniors. He did not do useless talk with anyone. He assigned the duties to the juniors as per their capabilities.  Mr. Barkat Ali regularly asked juniors for progress on the assignment. Therefore, all juniors performed well and completed their assigned task within the stipulated time frame. He remained serious about the improvement of the school up to his retirement. He paid full attention to the welfare of his junior teacher and other staff. He was a cheerful man.  He did joke with his juniors and students but respectfully.

A Disciplined Man.

Your discipline standard shows your standard of conduct. Mr. Barkat Ali was a disciplined man. He addressed teachers, administration staff, and students on the importance of discipline two days a week. ”He often says that if you want to become a good man, you would have become a disciplined man. Do not use shortcuts at any time. Always keep yourself within the circle of rules and regulations. Rules and regulations make you a disciplined man. And discipline will make easy to your life”.  Mr. Barkat Ali always followed the rules and regulations. He loved the students, but he did not compromise on discipline matters. He took strict disciplinary action against the defaulters without any discrimination.

Communication Skill and Contact.

During the talk, he always used simple words and parliamentary language. Neither does he talk with a loud voice or low voice. My best teacher Mr, Barkat Ali, had good communication skills. He had the art to convey his message. People of all ages listened to him with full attention and patience. Without any ambiguity, he offered his point of view. Therefore, any time anyone had not faced a problem understanding his talk. He had contact with parents and guardians of his students to guide them for further improvement of the children. For the welfare of the children, he had good contact with government institutions, private organizations, and social workers who are working on the children’s welfare projects.

Healthy Activities.

As per the age of the children, he had arranged healthy activities in the school.  He often played and laughed with playgroup kids to keep them happy. Every quarter, he organized sports competitions between the children on the ground of the school. Headmaster Mr. Barkat Ali invited the parents of the children and honorable persons of the area.  Awards are also distributed to all children. Mr. Barkat Ali was also a good athlete.

A Humble and a Peaceful Man.

My best teacher Mr. Barkat Ali was a humble and peaceful man. He remained cool and calm during stress and strain conditions. Issues were solved by him in good manners. During my five-year stay from first-class to fifth class in school, I did not see him shouting at any teachers or students.

Sympathetic Man.

He helped the people of his area without any personal gain. After school time, he taught the 9th and 10th classes students without tuition fees. He helped poor student to purchase books and uniforms. He felt happy to do something good for others.

Conclusion.

My best teacher, Mr. Barkat Ali Ex- Headmaster Government Primary School Chak No. 43/R.B Kotla Sanat Singh Wala was a good man in all respect. Five decades have passed, but I cannot forget his behavior, deal, and style of teaching. He was professionally sound. He had exemplary character. Therefore, today all walks of life people still remember him with a good name.

First Flight

First Flight

First Flight

Introduction.

Twenty years ago, our department selected me to perform Umrah Hajj in Macca holy city in Saudi Arabia. On my selection, my colleagues, friends and relatives offered congratulation. Many people were requesting me to pray to God for them during Umrah. My all family members were happy. It was my first flight on an aeroplane. However, before this, I had travelled by train and bus from one corner to another corner of my country due to my service requirement. A lot of miscellaneous questions were rising in my mind about the transit by air. When I completed pre-departure formalities, my Head Office emailed me for the collection of air tickets, duly visa-stamped passport and medical documents. The next day, I reported to Head Office and received the documents. As per the ticket, my flight was after three days from that day. I rushed home to prepare the transit luggage because three days were left. After three days, I was at International Airport Karachi for Madinah city Saudi Arabia. My family and my relatives were also present at Airport for my see-off. As per the instructions mentioned on the Air Ticket, I entered in Airport by dragging my Luggage one hour before the flight departure.

Scanning and Boarding.

As I had gone forward for boarding, a security officer signalled first to put the baggage on a luggage scanner machine and then go for boarding. On acting upon his signal, I put my baggage in the luggage scanner machine. After the luggage scanning and boarding process, there was an Airport Security Officer; he was guiding the passengers to proceed to the lounges as per their tickets. I reached into the lounge and sat down in a chair. Some passengers were already present there. Now I was very excited for aboard. At that time, our awaiting moments were over when a bus reached the lounge gate to carry us to the flight. When we were boarding the aeroplane, an attendant was standing at the gate to welcome us.

The Departure of Flight.

Now I had seated in PIA (Pakistan International Airline) Aero Plane, and my seat was near a window. It was enough big aeroplane, and the passenger capacity seemed to be around three hundred fifty.  The staff announced the departure of the flight on loudspeaker. They said to fasten your seat belt and keep your baggage underneath your seat or in the overhead compartment. They also did demonstrations on fastening the safety belt and doing other actions in case of emergency. After this, the Aeroplane started running on the runway. Running speed was gradually enhancing, and engines were exhausting voices to roar. Then the Aero Plan left the ground and rose in the air higher and higher.  When the Aero Plan was rising higher in the air, at that time, I felt some instability. However, this situation remained for a very short time. Now the Aero Plan was flying straight in the air.  And we were gasping with each other and enjoying ourselves.

Refreshment.

The air hosts distributed newspapers, magazines, audio airhead phones and water bottles for the refreshment of the passengers with cheerful faces. After this, they appeared with the food trolleys and started serving food. I had not eaten anything last four hours. My stomach was demanding something to eat. I ate the food but did not fill a full stomach with heavy food. The dishes were delicious, and overall food was fantastic. Flight attendants provided blue-coloured blankets to those entire passengers who were feeling cool.

Scene.

We could watch the location on the screen of the flight tracker from where we were passing. I was enjoying the scenes through the window pane.  Big cities and buildings seemed very small. Rivers seemed like a blue line, and the grassy fields seemed like a small green point. When the flight was passing over the Indian Ocean, I enjoyed the outside scene through the window pane. The sky was full of black clouds. Clouds were thundering. Everything seemed very beautiful.

Form.

To check the passengers’ expectations and opinions about the airline’s services, printed forms were distributed to all passengers to fill in the blank. I ticked the form box of the word “very good”, and in the comment box, I mentioned cooperation and services of flight staff were “exemplary”.

Flight Diversion.

As per the map tracker, the flight had entered Saudi Arabia Territory. Its destination was Madinah International Airport. But we heard the announcement that the flight would not land at Madinah International Airport due to the worse weather conditions, and therefore, now the flight had been diverted to Jaddah International Airport. On hearing this announcement, a few passengers got upset, but the majority remained normal, and they accepted it with smiling faces. After a few minutes, we heard another announcement that the weather condition in Madinah had become OK, and now the flight would land at Madina International Airport. Again now the atmosphere of the flight was happy.

Flight Landing.

The Captain of the aeroplane blinked the sign-on screen “No Smoking Please”. The flight crew announced, “PIA (Pakistan International Airline) welcomes you to Madinah the City of Saudi Arabia. Please take your seat and fasten your seat belt for landing”. When the aeroplane was coming down to land, once again I felt uneasy. At last, with the blessing of Allah, the Aeroplane wheels touched the ground and started going toward parking at the exit gate. I enjoyed the flight landing through the windowpane. Now the noise of the engines had subsided. Soon door of the Airplane opened, and passengers started to exit. An attendant was standing at the door to see off the passengers. I came out of the Aeroplane and collected the luggage from the baggage conveyor belt.

Immigration.

Separate immigration counters had been established at Madinah International Airport for the Umrah Hajj Pilgrim. I used that counter for immigration purposes. I put my passport to the Immigration Officer.  He checked and asked a few questions. Then he stamped my passport and returned it to me. I put my all luggage in a trolley and came out of the airport. The vehicle was already parked in the parking area to carry the Umrah Hajj Pilgrims.

Results.

It was my first experience of air travelling. I enjoyed it very much. I gained a lot of information through this experience about the following:-

  • Interior Ministries of all countries have their own rules and regulation. However, this experience has given some information about the pre-departure formalities to proceed abroad by air.
  • What are airport rules of business implied to the passengers?
  • Discipline, behaviour and services of an aeroplane crew.
  • What do you feel during take-off flight and landing?

My Mother

My Mother

My Mother

Introduction.

Allah has created all kinds of living species on the earth and in the ocean. First of all, He created all living species in couples (male and female).  Allah/God has also created the emotional love between the couple (male and female) so that they could enhance their species. This couple is the parents (Mother and Father) of their children. As per the capability of father and mother, Allah has assigned the duties to them to look after their children.  We all know very well about the struggle and sacrifices of our mother. My mother was a great woman, and her name was Rasoolan Bibi. Her height was a long and thin body but was very strong in all respect. She was born in 1915 in India District Gurdaspur and migrated to Pakistan with her family on 14 Aug 1947 during the partition of India. I cannot describe the complete golden role that played my mother for us. She died in 1990, God rest her soul in eternal peace. She had extraordinary qualities. A few qualities of my mother are as under:-

Education Desire.

My mother was an illiterate woman, but she knew the importance of education. She had very much desired to provide education to her children. She told us the difference between an educated and illiterate man. She always respected and appreciated the well-educated person and motivated us to get an education. I remember still these days when school facilities did not exist in our village. My mother carried me daily in her arms and walked in bare feet to another village to drop in a school. After school time, my father took me from school to home. When I passed the secondary school exam, my mom was very happy. My parents were poor; they had no money for my college admission. They were upset but were not disappointed. They did work hard for one year. On the other hand, I also started a job in a woollen mill. In this way, we saved some money, and the next year I got college admission.

Participation in happy and Sorrowful Occasions.

My mother had positive thinking. She utmost tried to participate in the happy and sorrowful occasions of all people therefore she had enjoyed a good reputation in the village. Usually, people participated in happy events like marriage, engagement or something else at the invitation of the organizer, but she attended some happy occasions without invitation. I want to share that happy event in which she participated without invitation. Once upon a time, a young boy of our village was selected in the Army as Commission Officer. His family called a musical band to celebrate the happy occasion. My mother attended the happy event and offered congratulation to the parents of the boy. She also offered a flower gift to them and gave some money to the musical band. That young boy and his parents were very happy about my mother’s participation.

My First Teacher.

My home is my first education institution, and my mom was the first teacher in this institution. She told me how should I talk, deal and behave with others. It means how we should respect elders and love younger ones. Her motivational talks gave me self-confidence and also improved my deciding power. Even, I learned to eat, drink and wearing of clothes from her. She told us how we should keep cleaning our dresses, rooms, beds, books and bodies. She motivated us to play healthy games during our spare time and always speak the truth. On Sunday, she arranged a visit to a historical place to the improvement of our general knowledge. My mother guided us in all fields of life.

A Good Trainer.

My mother did not learn the proper skill of tailoring, cooking and farming from any Technical Vocational Institute, but she had good practical knowledge of these professions like a course qualified professional. She had established a Vocational Training Centre in front of the house in a mud hut. She provided her service free of cost to the young girls and boys of the village. After training, to polish their skill, trainees also provided their free cost services to the people for some time. Presently, a lot of men and women are earning good who had got training from this centre. They all remember my mom with good words. After the death of my mom, the centre had run by a senior trainee for two years. The senior trainee got marriage and left the village to live with her husband. Now the vocational centre is being run under the supervision of the social welfare organization of the village.

A Brave Women.

My mother was a brave woman. On the occurrence of any natural and unnatural problem, she remained calm and did not lose her temperament. She had a strong belief in Allah/God. She guided us that hard work is the solution to all problems. Disappointment is a sin. It makes you a useless, weak and coward man. She encouraged and remained standing with my father in all situations throughout her life. One day during a rainy season, my father was carrying my younger sister in his arms and seemed some worry. My mother asked my father why is worried?  He told her that heavy rain would destroy our mud house. My mother said, don’t worry, our mud house is strong and in good condition. If the rain would damage it, so we could reconstruct it.

A Good Neighbour.

My mom had all qualities of a good neighbour. She always treated in good manners to all neighbours. Therefore our all neighbours liked her and still remembered her as a good neighbour. She always tried to facilitate the neighbours. She loved pets, and she had two cows. She provided the cow milk and yoghurt free of cost to the poor neighbour for their school-going children.

Co-operative and Sympathetic.

My mother was a helpful, cooperative and sympathetic woman. She helped my father in his routine agriculture work. Daily morning, mom helped us with a smiling face for school preparation. An old-aged husband and wife were living near us. Based on sympathy, my mother often cooked some food to serve them. And she also brought water for them from the water point. The old couple had a buffalo, sometime, my mom helped the old couple by cutting grass for the buffalo.

Conclusion.

  • As per the universal principle, respect and honours are awarded to those who performed well. In this world, the mother’s performance is excellent. Therefore Allah/God has given her great honour and dignity.

  • Mother is a great blessing of Allah in this life and hereafter for us.

  • At the world level, in honour of the mother, each year, the second Sunday of May is observed as mother’s day. There is no alternative to your mother because no other can perform the duties of a mother. After Allah, my mother was a unique and great source of power for me.
  • Mother has performed her duties and now we are responsible to pay her back. We should do good deeds for her.

A Great Man

A Great Man

A Great Man

I want to share a story of a shoe polisher. He did his profession honestly. He produced five useful children for his society. In this way, he proved himself a great man.

I was serving in the Islamabad capital of Pakistan. After office working hours, we daily went to the mosque for prayer. It was a big mosque, and it was constructed in the centre of a grassy field, with a lot of fruit trees and flower plants surrounding it. I felt here peace and internally satisfaction.  After prayer, we went for a walk. We used the road, which was not used for public transport. A small recreational bazaar was in our way. A fresh fruit shop was in this bazaar. We often drank the juice from this shop. The owner of this shop was very active and cheerful. He knew the art of dealing with the customers, and he always kept clean his shop as per the principles of sanitation. On the right side of this shop were coffee and tea stalls. On Sunday, the majority of the employees of our institution visited the recreational bazaar along with their families, and they purchased the daily used commodities. They also used the fresh fruit shop and tea stall for light refreshment.

On the left side of these shops approximately 25 meters away, a small shop for shoe repair and polish had been established by man. His name was Muhammad Abdullah. He was an aged man, but he was smart and had good health.  When I passed near to him, as per the time, I offered him good morning or good afternoon, and he replied in respectful manners by keeping their hand on his chest.  I often thought about him and how he manages his monthly family expenditure in this profession. On a Sunday, I went to his shop and gave him a shoe for repair. He took the shoe, inspected it and asked me to take it back after the half-hour. I left his shop for some shopping. I purchased some routine use items, and back into the shoe polisher shop, he gave me my repaired shoe. I gave him one hundred Pakistani rupees note as shoe repairing charges and thanked him. When I turned back, he called me politely and asked me to take the balance of forty rupees. I offered him the balance money as a tip but he refused to accept the money. He further said that Allah/God has given to him health for doing work.

One day my roommate told me that the shoe polisher has a good technique to replace the old sole of shoes with new sole and he replaced the soles of old shoes for two hundred fifty rupees. I had an old pair of shoes, and I also decided to replace the soles of the shoes. The next day after working hours, I put my old pair of shoes in a small cloth bag and went to the recreational bazaar. I gave the old shoes to Mr Muhammad Abdullah to replace the soles. He took the bag and asked me to take it back tomorrow. As per the routing, the next day at about 1700 hours, I and my roommate were on walking. On returning from a walk, when we reached the shoe polisher shop, I stopped here and asked about the old shoes, which were given to him for replacing the soles. He extracted my old shoes from a wooden box and told me that my shoe sole is still in good condition and, no need to replace them. I took the bag of shoes from him by saying thanks and he also replied with a cheerful face “always welcome please”. We left his shop and came back. We both were very happy with his honesty and truth.

During the dinner, I shared the story with the mess members about the honesty and true speaking of the shoe polisher. A colleague asked me his name. I told him that his name was Mr Muhammad Abdullah. On listing the name, he said I know him very well, he is my neighbour. He is a very hard worker and a good man in all respect. His children are well educated and perhaps his elder daughter is also doing the job as a gazetted officer in a department. I decided to meet him and talk with him for some time. One day, I went into his shop and asked him that would he like to talk about his personal life. He asked me why I wanted to know about his personal life. I told him that I think you are a good man to me and I want to take some advice from you. The shoe polisher Muhammad Abdullah replied that he did not consider himself best than any other. He further said that now I go home, and my shop will close for three days due to the marriage of my daughter, however, you can talk with me next week at any time. In the meantime, a big vehicle stopped in front of his shop, a good personality man dropped from the vehicle and respectfully offered him a good afternoon. The polisher stood up in  honour of the man. The man said congratulation to you Mr Muhammad Abdullah, your son obtained the first position in the school. The boot maker replied that it is the blessing of Allah/God and the result of your good teaching and guideline.

Next week, I went to the shop of Mr Muhammad Abdullah, he welcomed me with a smiling face and offered me a small wooden chair for sitting. I sat down in the chair, and he brought two cups of tea. After taking tea, I asked how many of your children were? He replied that he has three daughters and two sons. I asked him what are they doing? He told me that my elder daughter is doing the job as a chief architecture engineer and my son is a medical doctor at Rural Health Centre. My other son is doing his last semester of Charted Accountant and my other daughter is also a medical doctor in United Nations. My last son is doing O level. I put another question, have you else source of income? He replied that I have no other source of income except this shop. Finally, I asked him if he can like to give me some pieces of advice? He replied that he is an illiterate person and therefore he does not like to advise you, however, he can tell modus operandi of his personal life. I said, exactly, I also wanted to know this only. He told me the following:-

  • He does his job/profession honestly. His family and he lead a simple life according to his daily income.
  • He and his wife respect each other and always use parliamentary language.
  • He always guides the children to keep their focus on their studies and maintain discipline.
  • Result.  This story tells us that education, wealth, big appointment or big designation cannot make you a great man but your good performance and character can make you a great man.

Supply Chain

SUPPLY CHAIN

Supply Chain

Introduction.

All things we use daily come to us through supply chain management. For example, we use bread, rice, biscuit or something else for eating, for this, first of all, a farmer seeds the wheat then it harvests and caries to market for sale. The owners of flour mills purchase the wheat and prepare the different types of flour, then they sell the flour to the biscuit and bread maker industries, they prepare biscuit and bread, and sell it in the market, the all process is called supply chain management. A supply chain means a system of management under which raw material is procured, prepared in the original shape of the product, quality checked, packed and delivered to customers as per their demand. Supply chain management is the name of the coordination between the supplier and customers to streamline the time of product delivery, the quantity of product, quality and procedure of payments without any ambiguity between both parties. This process is integrated with all logistics support and storage of raw materials to fulfil the demand of consumers.

Importance.

Supply Chain Management is an integral part of business, it plays an important role in the successful running of all types of business. This system provides the ideas to enhance the yield, save time, generate revenue, minimize expenditures and make it a profitable company, industry, mill or business organization. A well-organized supply chain system is compulsory for improving the efficiency of small and large industries. Strategies of this system are also useful for the technical and operational staff to make their ease performance.  An effective supply chain management remains alert about all outside effects like present forthcoming environmental and weather conditions, fashion, power of purchase of the people, social customs, and prices of fuels and gases.

Types of Supply Chain Management.

Here two types of the supply chain system are being mentioned.

  • Horizontal and Vertical Supply Chain.    A horizontal supply chain means two same companies amalgamated and become an industry for growing and expanding the business for gaining financial benefits. While in the vertical supply chain system, an organization deals with and controls the maximum stages and aspects of the production. For example, if any Sugar Mill cultivates sugarcane in agricultural lands and transports it to the mill by its logistic vehicles and employees, it would be called a vertical supply chain.

Components.

Supply Chain Management is a very vast field and has a lot of components. However, I would like to mention here the essential and the major components:-

  • Strategy and Plan.    The main component of the supply chain system is to prepare the strategy and plan of all activities regarding obtaining raw materials for the preparation of products and provision of the delivery services of the prepared products to the customers. As good planning is compulsory for spending a successful life, in this way a good plan and strategy have a vital role in the success of the business.
  • Knowledge of Market Trends.    Supply Chain Management keeps an eye in all respect on the market’s ongoing situation and trends. According to the market situation and ongoing trends, supply chain management does homework for the collection of raw materials and takes orders for the supply of products to their consumers. Knowledge of the market trends is a big source for a firm in deciding the retail price of the products.
  • Procurement of Raw Material.    Procurement of a good quality raw material has a vital role in producing the products as per the required standard of the consumers. If any mill or firm provides good quality products in the market, consumers like it and the following benefits are automatically achieved by the firm/mills:-

  1. Good quality makes unique of your product in the market because no other thing can take a place of a good quality standard. Quality is a symbol of your success.
  2. Provision of good quality product is the big source for advertising your company, firm or mill. In this way, you can enjoy a good reputation without using the extra resources.
  3. Due to the good quality, the demand for the product is automatically enhanced and consumers purchase the product with a cheerful face by accepting your given retail price.

  • Suitable Place.    Supply Chain Management selects a suitable location/site for establishing the business, where all types of vehicles can go and come back easily. Storage facilities and other basic allied facilities are avails. The place is also observed from a security point of view.
  • Maintenance of Records.    Maintenance and keeping up-to-date records of all available raw materials, stock position of ready products and holding state of supply orders received from consumers is a great component of the supply chain management. Due to the non-up-to-date inventory, serious problems come with fulfilling the seasonal demands of the consumers; even routine supply orders also seem difficult.
  • Collection of Raw Materials and Delivery of Products.   Coordination with all concerned to fix the date, time and quantity for collection of raw material and delivery of products to the consumers is the main component of supply chain management. This system manages the transportation way which is economical cheap and physically safe from loss/ damage of the products. Staff checks the quantity of material/product, weather conditions, and a suitable route for supply, and then they decide whether, vehicles, goods train or sea shipments would be better for supply. All efforts are made by this system, to ensure the delivery at the door of the consumer within the stipulated time frame.
  • Behaviour.   It is a reality, as a human, behaviour and attitude have great importance in our life. The staff of supply chain management always has good behaviour with the customers. Your behaviour has great attraction. You can solve a lot of minor issues on the spot with the quality of good behaviour.-

Consequences.

After viewing the all above mentioned aspects and aspects of Supply Chain Management, the following consequences have been ascertained to establish and run a successful business.

  • In the present era, effective Supply Chain Management can only compete in the market for achieving the target.
  • The main responsibility of this system is the safe and sound delivery of products/materials to the consumers as per the supply order.
  • The staff of this system should have excellent communication skills, good awareness of the market and well conversant about the rules of business.
  • Supply Chain Management provides logistic support to the operational staff and management staff.

Behaviour with Parents

BEHAVIOUR WITH PARENTS

Behaviour with Parents

Introduction.

The importance and rights of parents are so much to their children, if a human wants to count or jot down the rights of parents so it is impossible for him. Parents start thinking about the best nurturing of children before their birth. Undoubtedly, all parents work hard and also face a lot of problems in making the best development for children. A pregnant woman faces different situations, and during the birth, anyone other cannot imagine the pain and hardships that she bears for her child. Even sometimes mother sacrifices her life during the birth of her children. A mother feeds her breast milk and looks after her children in all respect. Parents make the best arrangements to save their children from hot and cold weather conditions. If a child got sick parents evacuated him/her to the hospital, and they do not take rest till the recovery of the child's health. After marriage and the blessing of children, a good father works more for his family. As human beings, all adult children are responsible to do well behave with their parents and the following should be done by them:-

  • Respect the Parents.       Talk with them in a respected manner and physically deal with them obediently. Any time do not do an act which they do not like. Understand their point of view and follow their orders and advice. They have good experience of life and children can get great benefits on act upon their guidance and advice. If you are living away from your parents due to a job or business, you should talk with them regularly through mobile or any other means. Send them gifts that they like, as you know best about your parents, what they like and dislike. If we want the blessing of Allah/God, we should have to be given respect to our parents. If our parents have died, we should respect all those people who were friends of our parents. Children of our parents’ friends will see us in the good eye, a peaceful environment and harmony will be developed in the society.
  • Good Conversation.         All parents want, their children to listen to them with full attention. Talk with them politely and so lowly. Do not talk with them in rude manners and loudly in any situation. If any time they become angry and do hard talk, bear them with a smiling face. We should listen to our parents sincerely and in affectionate ways.
  • Mercifully and Pity.         Always do mercy and pity to parents. Especially when they become old, they become physically weak, and their nervous system is also affected. Naturally, in old age, their strength to bear becomes weak, and therefore habits are changed. They can demand some things like children. Do not make a noise near them, especially when they are taking a rest. Now we should understand their position and behave pitiful and merciful with them.
  • Happy Life.  Use all available resources for a happy life for parents. Arrange the meetings of your parents with their friends and to close relatives or who they want to see. Take out them from the house for walking and to visiting places so that they could see and enjoy the natural seen. Prepare special food and sweet dishes as they like and offer them in respectful manners. Always do good deeds and do not create problems for others, in this way people in your society will respect you and your parents will feel proud and happy.
  • Pray for Parents.    Good children pray for their parents, God blessing them as they have nurtured me with love when I was in my childhood. Oh my God keep them safe from all problems as they have saved me. If our parents have died, we should pray for God’s forgiveness of their sins and rest their souls in paradise.
  • Help in Kitchen.     All teenage and adults children, especially girls can help their parents in the kitchen by cooking, serving food to other family members, and washing and cleaning the dishes. Children will learn cooking from their parents at home.

  • Washing and Cleaning.    Children should help their parents with cleaning the house, washing of floor, vehicles and clothes. They can change the bedsheets, and iron their school uniform and informal clothes of the parent. Polish your shoes and clean your book. Dispose of your house waste material at the garbage point. After breakfast and dinner, help your parents for cleaning the dining table and dishes.
Behaviour with Parents
  • Help in Routine Work.    To facilitate the parents, children can take the responsibility for depositing utility bills in time and purchase of vegetables, onions, and potatoes from the market. If parents are farmers, shopkeepers or skilled labourers, children can best use their spare time for helping them, especially during school/college holidays. If your parents are having pets, take out them walking to help with routine work for your parents. Help your parents for watering the flowers and grassy areas of your house yard.
  • Financially Help.  If your parents are financially weak and you are having good income resources, you should financially help them. When the parents become old, they cannot do the work hard as they did in their youth age for the development of their children. Now we are responsible in all respect to fulfil their all needs in life.
  • Task Completion.  It has been observed that a lot of good and pious people start a welfare project,  but due to their death, or some other genuine problems, they could not complete it. Now the children should complete the ongoing task/project of their parents if they have the resources to complete the task.  In this way, they can provide peace to their parent’s souls in paradise.

Consequences.

The following consequences have been ascertained:-

  • Naturally, all parents have good expectations of their children, and good children work hard to execute the expectation of parents.

  • Children are responsible to do good behaviour with their parents to repay.

  • Parents are a blessing of Allah, those whose children give respect to their parents, they pay gratitude to Allah/God. If we want the help of God and forgiveness of our sins, we would have to be done good behave with our parents as per the orders of Allah/God.
  • If you want to take respect from your children, you would have to be done good behave with your parents because children follow the attitude of their parents.
