COMPETITION - MOTIVATIONAL STORY

Once upon a time, a king was ruling a very large state. He was an intelligent, honest and merciful person. Short terms and long terms development projects were launched by him for the welfare of his nation. He was very popular among the nation. He was famous due to his justice. All people loved and liked him. He had developed a good relationship with his all neighbour countries. Often, at the national level, sports competitions were arranged for the entertainment of the people. To enhance the courage of the players and their families, prizes were awarded to the participants. During the prize distribution ceremony, a comprehensive motivational lecture was also delivered by the king for the self-improvement of the people. The king always advised his nation to pay the attention to their health, enjoy their life, give respect to others, especially females, love the children and do a good job.

The king announced a painting competition with a big cash prize on the subject of peace. All experienced artists participated with their excellent pictures. The exhibition was arranged in a very much large open area. This exhibition remained to be continued for seven days. Thousands of people who were fond of painting had reached there for observing the completion from all corners of the country. A lot of entertainment programmes have also existed there. The king reached the exhibition site with official artists and he selected two pictures. Out of them, one picture was a beautiful lake which was in a full green valley. The blue water of the lake was very clear. The scene was very charming and a couple of doves were showing a symbol of peace. The second picture was of a mud house in a desert, there were dry bushes. The sky was full of clouds and giving the signal of a storm. A man is sitting along with his family in the courtyard near his few goats. He is also observing the weather condition. Apparently, this painting was showing a worse scene. Now all were awaiting the announcement of the award and talking with each other that surely the award will be gone to the painting of a beautiful lake. Because this picture was seeming a hundred times better than the other picture but a cash prize was announced for the picture of a mud house.

All people including artists were very worried about this decision. The majority were saying that it is a mistake of the announcer. People rushed to the announcer he told them, an announcement has been carried out as per the written decision of the king. Some people approached the king through the official artist for reviewing the decision. He told them that it is no mistake and it is the right decision. The right decision can not be reversed. The king told the following about the painting and the authenticity of his decision:-

• The painting's aim is not to make a good picture. Painting means to produce the internal sentiment with a factual position of anything. 

• It gives a message of the facts. It is a big source of expression and motivation. Painting allows you to feel, think and encourage to do so something good that for which you did not know.

• Further, he explained to them that the poor man is calm, he has no fear regarding the loss of his mud house due to prevailing the severe weather conditions because he has internal satisfaction. Actually, peace comes with your internal satisfaction. 

• Despite difficult situations, he is enjoying himself with his family. 

The above-mentioned story has given a lot of motivational lessons to the reader but it depends on the reader's thinking and views.  According to my personal thinking, the following motivational lessons are existing in this story:-:-

• What Should be Done for Peace?  Undoubtedly, spirituality gives peace to a human. However, It is another debate that some persons do not believe in spirituality. But now the question is this, how can we become peaceful for ourselves and others?. The Following has to be done for peace. First. Do not compare yourself with others who have much more materialized things than you. It is not my means not to work hard for making the progress. Work hard and see to them who are having less materialized things than you. Second.  Always thank Allah (God) and enjoy your life with what you have. Third. Think positively. Fourth. See the natural scene and learn from it.

• Learn to Live in Hardship.  This story motivates us, to learn to live in difficult situations with a smiling face. Your happiness in hardship is a clear indication of your satisfaction and thanks to Allah (God). Hardships are a test of your success. Problems or hardships are a part of life therefore we would have to spend our life with the problems. It encourages you to work hard and it gives you the experience to guide others. Do not disappoint, easiness comes after hardship as the day comes after night.

• Importance of Family Relationship.  A good family relationship is your great and high quality of strength to bear and face the problem of life. No one can defeat you in the presence of your lovely family. In this world, no one can support you like your family except Allah (God). Family is a great blessing of Allah (God). A good family relationship saves you from illegal relationships with others. It is a big obstacle and guards in way of immoral activities. It helps you to improve yourself in all respect. Your family is your paradise in this world. Why so much importance has been given to family relationships?. Because my God has ordered for establishing a good relationship with the family.

• A Good Leader.  A good leader must be an intelligent and positive thinker person with extraordinary qualities. As the king gave a wonderful decision against the expectations of thousands of people but the decision was absolutely correct. He proved himself a good leader of his nation. He also gained more trust and confidence from his follower. Whereas trust and confidence of people in their leader play the main role in making the progress and achieving the goals. A good leader motivates and guides his nation for becoming a useful person in society. And people also act upon his advice.
